Before I get into this week’s post- I want to recommend you all head over to Kimchi Bytes and check out this article by Brent Sheffield. It’s about the outdoor exercise equipment in Korea, and I am the lovely female model you see enjoying herself with the gorgeous male model- Paul Wiltshire. It was so much fun to do and I was very honoured to have been asked!
I think this will be a helpful post for people- so even though I’m leaving in less than 2 months, I thought I’d share what I’ve learned about buying protein powder while in Korea.
If you, like me, like your protein powder then you may be trying to figure out the most cost effective way to find a supply while over here.
I have tried a few different sites so I’ll give my experience and reviews.
It even says “protein bland” in the caption. I should have known!
After being asked fairly frequently about what I usually order on iherb.com, I thought I would do a blog post. This by no means is a way to get you to buy from iherb specifically, nor the exact products, however, I just thought it would helpful. And yes, I do have an iherb code, which you can use to save $10 off your first order (AJO567)- however, I make like 1% or something really small, so honestly I’m not doing this to make money. And always, I’d recommend you to buy from whichever source is most cost-effective, ethical or sustainable for you- be it online or from a local store. I’m putting the prices that iherb currently lists, because that way you can compare it to whichever source you use.
Also, I recommend that you do your own research on the supplements- there’s a ton of information out there (both good and bad), so I’m not going into details about all the benefits etc on my choices. And of course- supplements are meant to supplement your diet. I certainly don’t take them expecting miracles to happen, and use them to add to my diet in case of deficiencies. Again, this is just what I use, adjust for your own goals. Continue reading →
As I mentioned before, I LOVE Gmarket! I was never at all an internet shopper before I came to Korea, but wow- now I definitely am! I would even say that Gmarket is one of my favourite things about Korea, haha!
This page will list products I’ve found on Gmarket that I use, or I think are a good price. Continue reading →
